What we do
Through the MiX Fleet Manager solution and a range of connected products and innovative services MiX Telematics deliver continual return on investment to their clients in three key areas:
When fleet operators are suitably equipped, the result is a guaranteed increase in profitability.
Our fleet customers rely heavily on our fleet management solutions to be as efficient as possible. Especially in competitive markets where even the smallest amounts of time and money become critical issues in determining success. A properly implemented MiX Telematics solution is proven to boost efficiency by improving fuel consumption, driver behavior, utilization and more.
Identifying and correcting bad driver behaviour is the first step to reducing risk and increasing safety levels.
Research indicates that human error is to blame for around 80% of motor collisions. As a result, fleet owners are under mounting pressure to not only identify risky behavior, but to take corrective action and improve safety levels. Our end-to-end safety solutions, coupled with additional devices like our In Cab Display Units have become well-known as powerful risk reduction tools.
The right tools can make light work for our customers who need to comply with stringent HSE regulations.
Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations differ from country to country, and are further determined by industry. While this can’t be changed, we can help to manage the related challenges. MiX Telematics offers a range of customisable tools to help customers maintain the highest possible levels of safety and compliance. This includes a solution to manage Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic work dairies in Australia.
MiX Fleet Manager – Globally Tested & Proven
Immediate access to secure information about drivers and vehicles at all times.
MiX Fleet Manager by MiX Telematics is an end-to-end solution designed to give fleet operators the tools needed to sustain a high-performing operation – one that’s operating at optimum levels of efficiency and safety. MiX Fleet Manager comprises an on-board computer, an online tracking and information portal as well as access to valuable fleet and driver reports and analytics. MiX Fleet Manager includes a series of mobile applications that allow fleet managers to remain connected to their fleet at all times.
Here is a breakdown of how MiX Telematics solutions work
In-vehicle hardware collects and transmits important information including vehicle location and status, driver identity, fuel usage, distances travelled and trip start and end points. By having 24-hour access to this data, along with reporting tools that deliver key business insights, fleet owners are able to make informed and timely decisions about their drivers and vehicles. This enables them to boost overall fleet efficiencies and performance.
Live information streams
Real-time notifications – communicated via email or text messages – allow fleet managers to address vehicle and driver events that impact safety and efficiency. Seamless integration between messaging and navigation devices facilitates streamlined communication between drivers and the office.
Sometimes it is necessary to know both the exact location and status of your vehicles. With a solution from MiX Telematics, our clients are able to do just that using a smartphone or via a secure web portal. You can pinpoint your vehicle on a street level or satellite map that updates as your vehicles move. Status updates of events that occur within the vehicle will also be posted.
MiX Telematics customers have achieved a fuel consumption savings of up to 15 %. Our systems allow you to monitor the fuel consumption of each of your vehicles individually, and by extension the fuel efficiency of your whole fleet, giving you an immediate return on investment.
Improved driver behaviour
Bad driving habits are unsafe, unnecessary and can cause loss of life. Poor driving ultimately also costs your organisation money. Together with an on-board computer and optional in-cab display system, MiX Telematics can provide your company with live information pertaining to the operation of your vehicles. The data instantly gets transmitted from your vehicle directly to one of our secure data centres so that management reports contain objective information. Drivers can also be alerted to their mistakes using the in-vehicle buzzer or a display device such as the RIBAS accessory.
With MiX Telematics’ in-vehicle communication option, the best fleet management solution will deliver on your need to communicate with your drivers in a cost effective way. We offer the ability to send free-text, standard and job messages (and status updates) between office and driver to minimise communication costs.
The blue driver code-plug, commonly known as the driver tag, is used to control/restrict vehicle access and identify drivers to the vehicle. By using the driver tag you can ensure that each trip undertaken has a driver associated with it, thus enabling you to associate driving violations and events with specific drivers and enabling input into driver training & incentive programmes.
Customers have the ability to improve their route planning and fleet utilisation, through using the data posted by the system and integrating with specialized 3rd party routing applications.
Trip Reports and Vehicle Utilisation
Reports provide insight into the journeys undertaken by drivers, highlighting exceptions (e.g. entry into no-go zones), driving violations (e.g. over speeding), and include details such as trip start date and time, location from which departed, trip distance, end location, driving time, idling time, parking time, associated driver, etc.
RAG Scoring Reports Suite
This safety feature records driver-related events like over-speeding, over-revving, harsh braking, and harsh acceleration to classify driver behaviour as Red, Amber, or Green (RAG). These classifications can then inform an employer whether or not they need to action any driver behaviour modification programmes for their employees, including additional training or counselling.
Improved customer service
Customer service is an extremely important aspect of business for any organisation. MiX Telematics clients within any industry are able to safely exchange vital information with their drivers, receive the data necessary to evidence service levels to their customers, optimise fleet utilisation, and improve route planning.
Training and Development
Our MiX SafeDrive training courses complement our In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) technology, enabling efficient and effective remedial action to be taken by fleet managers.
MiX SafeDrive Driver training comprises:
- Specific driver development programmes, including online driver training for MiX SafeDrive
